An evocative and engaging storytelling performance weaving together scientific explanations and mythic interpretations of the 13.7 billion year old evolution of the Cosmos. It is an educational
and magical blending of cosmology and indigenous creation myths that tells how all life is made of star stuff! We will gather as our human ancestors did and tell the story - re-inacting the creation
of atoms, our solar family, moon and earth beings. This will be a playful, creative, expressive hands-on afternoon!

Session Details
Session 1 -June 18-22 + FAD Camp
This is for children who like to have fun creating art and doing drama! Each day we will make some cool art and let our dramatic selves shine! There will be plenty of time for playing with costumes, puppets and creating skits. Guest teacher, Gitty Duncan: multi-talented artist extraordinaire, will be bringing her awesome art projects! And maybe Edgar will visit!
Session 2 -June 25-29 + Embroidery, Hand Sewing & Fabric Adornment Camp
This session will be for those who like to decorate fabric and for experienced stitchers and newcomers alike! Campers will learn embroidery stitches and hand sewing skills. Campers will adorn clothes, pillowcases, wall hangings, purses, and bags with thread, paint, beads, buttons, bric-a brac, and whatever else we can find! At 8 years of age Mary Ellen was inspired to learn embroidery when she saw the tee towels her aunt had embroidered. When puff paints first came out, Mary Ellen went wild and has been adorning her clothes and later her storytelling costumes.

Session 5 - July 23-27 + Witchcraft and Wizardry Summer School
These sessions are based on the Harry Potter books. The book this summer we will focus on is,"Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets". We will delve into the magical and imaginary realm of witches and wizards through art, play and drama. Activities and topics will include but are not limited to: Diagon Alley, wands & spell work, the Sorting Hat, magical creatures, Quidittch, herbology, potions, magic sweets and Platform 9 & 3/4. Headmistress ME has been a fan of these books since they came out!
Session 6 - July 30-Aug.3 + Adoptees Connecting Camp (ACC)
This session is for children who want to share and explore their adoption in a supportive and playful way with other adopted children. Each camper will have many opportunities to celebrate their particular life journey as an adopted person through various art forms: writing, drawing, painting, collage, reading, drama and puppets. Mary Ellen was adopted as an infant and has been exploring adoption in various ways for many years.
Session 7 - August 6-10 + Gardening and Cooking Camp
Session 8 - August 13-17 + Gardening and Cooking Camp
This session will be all about food! There will lots of time to dig, explore, and harvest Mary Ellen's big funky backyard full of vegetable, herb and flower gardens along with a of couple fruit trees. Then we will cook some great food! Mary Ellen has been a lover of creating recipes and trying them out since she was a youngster and loves to grow her own food. Basic gardening and cooking skills will be taught and perhaps the garden fairies will show up to teach a few things!

A non-refundable $100 deposit for each session are due now.
